Voiceover, captions and languages

A motion template can speak now, and show what it says.

Voiceover. Add a sound layer and give it words: a preset voice speaks them when the render is queued, in the language you name, and the file is kept. The same words in the same voice are never paid for twice, and a line said before is still served if the voice provider is unreachable. Standard voices are spoken in the EU and cost 20 credits per 1,000 characters.

Music and mixing. A sound layer can also play an MP3 or WAV you upload, trimmed, looped and faded, and music ducks under a voice on its own.

Captions. A captions layer follows a voiceover word by word, in cues of a few words each, with the word being spoken picked out in a second colour if you want it. The cues come from the speech's own timings, so the editor and every render agree.

Languages. A template can carry the languages it ships in, with a voice for each. Translate its words once, review them, and render every language from one request.

Rounds, pins, board proofs and approval before delivery

Sign-off now travels with its own record.

Rounds. Send the next version on the same link. The client sees every round and can compare two side by side; the decision is on the latest.

Pins. Your client clicks the picture to leave a comment exactly where they mean it, with no account. Your team pins and resolves from the app.

Internal first. Make a proof for the team, and send it to the client when it is right: until then the link says it is not ready.

Board proofs. Send a board's directions and let the client choose one. The board marks the direction they chose.

Approval before delivery. A workflow can hold its deliveries until a client approves a proof of what it rendered: approved, it delivers; rejected, it delivers nothing. Every decision also goes out as the
proof.decided
webhook.

Products, people and looks in the brand kit

A brand kit now knows what a client sells and how their pictures should look.

Products and people. Add a product, a person, a place or an object with up to eight reference pictures and a handle, and name it in any prompt:
@runner on a wet street at dusk
. The pictures travel with it as references, so the shoe in the picture is the client's shoe.

Looks. Save a style as a moodboard - up to eight pictures and the style in words - and name it the same way:
lit like @autumn
.

Voice and rules. Each kit holds its tone and its rules: words copy must never use, lines it must always carry (for every format, or for ads only), the space kept clear around the logo, and the contrast text must meet. Pre-flight checks will read them.

A handle names one thing per kit, across products, looks and tokens, so
@runner
can never mean two things. Agents see all of it through
list_brand_kits
, and copying a template to another client's workspace can rebind its handles to that client's own products.

New plans, a rate card by quality, and Developers inside Settings

New plans. Free now starts with 300 credits, once, and no card. Solo is €39 for 6,000 credits a month, Studio €129 for 20,000, and Agency comes in three sizes: €349 for 75,000, €599 for 145,000 and €999 for 240,000, each with more seats and client workspaces than the last. Every feature is still on every plan; plans differ only in credits, seats, workspaces and how much runs at once.

Generated pictures are priced by quality, not by model. Draft, Standard, Pro and Ultra cost 8, 30, 70 and 150 credits for an image up to a megapixel, and the same again for each megapixel above it. Each quality is routed to whichever model does it best this quarter, and every one is at a provider whose terms give it no right to train on what you send. Renders take the new
quality
field; the old
aiModel
field still works for one release, and a dry run says it is deprecated.

Keys, Webhooks and Agents moved into Settings, as a Developers group after Account. The rail is Home, Boards, Templates, Library, Renders, Brand, Automations and Settings; Boards arrives with the next release.

Some things left. Dynamic URLs, the PHP and Go SDKs, the invoice, certificate and ticket starters, the PDF merge endpoint, and the Dropbox, OneDrive and Google Cloud Storage connectors are gone. A Google bucket still works as S3-compatible storage with its endpoint typed. Node and Python SDKs, Drive, Slack and S3 delivery, and everything else stay.

Motion - templates that move, as MP4 and GIF

A template can move now. Give it a timeline and its pages become scenes that play one after another; render it as an MP4 or a GIF.

Presets and keyframes. Bring a layer in and out with fade, rise, slide, scale, wipe or type, on any easing, and move anything else with keyframes on opacity, position, scale, rotation, blur and colour. A brand kit can hold the house pace and curve as tokens.

Video layers. Upload an MP4 or MOV and put it in a scene: trimmed, looped, cropped to its box, and frame-accurate in every render.

Priced by the second. A motion file costs credits for each second it runs at the band of its short edge, the quote and the charge are the same number, and previews stay free.

Agents author it too. Drafts, board directions and the copilot all write motion, and four motion starters are in the library.

Generated clips - a picture on a board, set moving

A plate or a reference on a board can become a few seconds of film.

Animate. Select a picture, say what moves, choose a quality and a length, and the price is on the button before you press it. The clip lands beside the picture a minute or two later; it is charged only when it arrives, and the same clip again is free.

Three qualities. Draft for trying an idea, Standard for steadier motion, Premium for the finished film, each priced by the second.

Lock it. A clip locks into a motion template that plays it, ready for words, a voiceover and captions in the editor. Every render that plays it is marked as containing generated media.

For agents too.
animate_on_board
makes a clip over MCP, with a dry run for the price.

Pre-flight checks, ad-network specs and locking a direction

A design can now be checked before it ships, and a direction on a board can become a template.

Pre-flight checks. One list, from three sources: the layout as the engine laid it out, the brand's rules (banned words, mandatory lines, contrast, the logo's clear space, colours set by hand), and each ad network the template is made for. Every problem names the layer, the size and the fix. Free on every plan, in the editor's new Checks dock, from
POST /v1/templates/{id}/checks
, and for agents as
check_template
. The dry run now lays the design out too, so it reports text that overflows and pictures that do not load before a render does.

Ad-network specs. Nine placements across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Google Display, X and Pinterest, each number with the page it was read from. A verified spec blocks; one we could not verify only warns. A render's file is checked against the placement's size cap once it settles.

Locking a direction. Select a draft on a board and lock it: the plates are frozen, every text layer becomes a field, colours and fonts that are exactly the kit's become its tokens, and the template opens in the editor as a draft, linked back to its board. Locking is a person's act, like publishing.

Boards, directions and content credentials

A campaign now starts on a board.

Boards. A canvas for the work before any of it is a template: notes, pictures brought in from anywhere, generated plates and drafts, each draft shown as its free preview. Pan, zoom, move, branch and undo. Paste an image, a file or a link and it arrives as a reference.

Plates. Generate a picture onto the board and see its price on the button first. Name a product or a look from the brand kit as
@handle
and its pictures go to the model as references. The model never draws the words: headlines and legal lines stay live type, spelled right and on brand.

Directions. Ask for up to six directions. The agent reads the brief, the ask and the brand kit, proposes each with its rationale and its plates, and prices the plan before anything runs. Run it and each direction fills its own column: plates, then a draft designed over them. Spend never passes the quote. Nothing is published or locked by the agent; a person does both.

For agents. The MCP full profile adds seven board tools, from
create_board
to
run_directions
.

Content credentials. Every render that contains generated content is marked as such inside the file, and every download, delivery and proof file carries a signed C2PA manifest saying where it came from and what is in it.

Settings, billing, usage, and a redrawn library

Settings was three tabs over a form, with the account tab a long scroll of nine sections. It is seven pages now, grouped beside a nav: Profile and Security under You, General under Workspace, and General, Members, Billing and Usage under Organisation. The avatar in the title bar opens a menu of Profile, Security, Billing and Sign out, with your credit balance on the Billing row.

Billing is live without a payment provider, and says so plainly. Your balance, your allowance, the pre-flight refusal and the top-up cap all work on any deployment; the pack and portal buttons say what is missing when there is no provider configured, rather than leading nowhere. When credits run out there are three answers, not two: buy the next pack automatically, cap what that may spend in a month, or stop at zero with a typed refusal naming what was needed and what was held.

Usage answers what was charged and what was free, per operation or per day, for one workspace - with the rate published beside every line, the credits converted to money at your own rate, and the same CSV the API returns, so an agency can rebill a client from the numbers on the screen. Previews, dry runs, failed renders and AI drafting are counted there too: free forever, on every plan, and now visible.

Retention is enforced. "How long renders are kept" has always been settable and, until now, was read by nothing. A nightly sweep deletes the files of renders past your window and keeps the record and its cost, so an invoice stays answerable. The Workspace page shows when the last sweep ran and what it took, or nothing at all if it has never run - never a promise about a future job.

The library is ten designed templates rather than fifty, redrawn end to end: a launch post, an offer story, two IAB ad units, an article link preview, a video thumbnail, a discount banner, an invoice, a certificate and an event ticket. Every preview is drawn by the render engine from the template itself, every colour is a brand token so a copy re-skins to your kit in one step, and every image is a field you fill. The page lost its three rows of chips for one control row with an always-open search that matches names, categories, tags and sizes -
1080
finds the templates that are. A card is now nothing but the picture until you point at it, and a click opens the template rather than copying it, so a mis-click no longer leaves a draft behind.

Also: the rail is wider and its collapse control moved to its edge; the workspace switcher is the name alone;
Top up
goes to the packs; the gallery's tools are the same height as the bar above them; the template gallery loads past its first fifty; and faint text on light backgrounds is darker everywhere, which is a contrast fix rather than a style change.

An account with two-factor authentication on could enrol but not sign in through the dashboard. Sign-in now asks for the authenticator's code - or a recovery code on the same screen - with "trust this browser for 30 days" as a choice. Every sign-in form also submits by POST, so a click before the page is ready can no longer put a password in the address bar.

When Google sign-in does not end in a session - a cancelled consent screen, an address that already has a password account, a provider that is not configured - the login card now says which, in plain words, and what to do instead. Linking Google to an existing account still requires both Google and kinoplate to have confirmed the address.

A fresh account no longer stops at "not a member of any organisation yet". The screen after sign-up asks for one name, founds your organisation with you as its owner, creates the first workspace, and lands you in the template library or on the API keys tab - your choice. The free plan's 50 one-time credits are granted there, so the first render works. Over HTTP it is
POST /v1/organisations
.

Sign-up now sends a verification link on deployments with a mail sender, and sign-in before it is opened says so and sends a fresh one. "Forgot your password?" on the login card mails a one-hour, single-use link; using it ends every other session on the account. Deployments without a sender behave as before - sign-up hands back a session - and
GET /v1/auth-methods
reports which case you are in.
